TT

A unisex brand based in New York and Kyoto.

Founder and designer Taiga Takahashi said,

He experienced an education that combined Japanese culture with Western thought.

After graduating from University of the Arts London Central Saint Martins in 2017,

He founded his own brand in New York.

The brand concept is "Unearthing archaeological treasures of the future by reviving relics of the past."

The designer himself has collected more than several thousand pieces of clothing since his teenage years, most of which

American vintage, mainly from the 1920s to 1950s, before mass production.

Perhaps the true value of manufacturing already exists in history.

With this in mind, we have chosen the fabrics, stitching, and details of clothing that have survived the test of time.

It will be studied from an archaeological perspective and reinterpreted to bring it back to life in the modern era.

The clothing is like a fossil or a time capsule, showcasing lost techniques such as weaving, dyeing, and sewing.

Using traditional Japanese techniques and natural materials, we aim to create something that will last for 100 years to come.

The aim was to create timeless clothing.

The craftsmanship that Japan is proud of is also utilized in the manufacturing of TT.

Natural dyeing techniques that have been used for over 1,000 years and the few remaining old-fashioned weaving machines

Using traditional Japanese techniques, we have engaged in extensive dialogue with the artisans who have inherited these skills.

Pursuing manufacturing.
